ARKANSAS TORNADO: Sara & Boys Home Destroyed
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Karla Butler. I live in Washington state. Sara is a member of my family. I am raising funds for her because her house and her car were destroyed in the Arkansas tornadoes. Any donations collected will be spent to buy food, pay for temporary housing (hotel, Airbnb, or apartment), car repairs, and just help her get back on her feet. I am sure it will be quite some time before her house is even liveable. Sara and the boys really need any help they can get.
Her family and I are fundraising for her and the kids because the Arkansas tornadoes on 3/31 destroyed her home and everything in it. The roof has been ripped off, and the inside is ripped to shreds, with lots of water damage. They have lost everything. Sara's vehicle was also damaged and the windows were all busted out.
To appreciate what this house meant to Sara, let me tell you a little bit about her. Sara is a single mother of two boys, Benjamin (9yrs) and Sam (11yrs). God couldn't have given the boys a better mother, especially for Sam. Sara works hard to provide a good and loving home for her boys. We are all proud of all she has accomplished on her own. When I am with her, I am always in awe of her strength through any of life's trials. I am always in awe at how wonderful of a mother she is to these two children. Sam is autistic and requires lots of love, special care, and rigid routines. (This will be especially difficult for him.) Benjamin is the little brother that is always looking out for his big brother and protecting him from people who don't understand what autism looks like.
For years, Sara has struggled and saved every penny to be able to provide her boys with a home of their own. They were finally there! She won the race! And then the tornado left them devastated and scared. And now, after all of those years of hard work, she has lost it all. Sara has lost more than just the material things in her life. She is losing hope. This storm has brought her to her knees.
The insurance company has agreed to pay for another three-night stay at a local hotel. After that, she will need to secure her own temporary housing. She and the boys need money right now for clothes, food, housing, car repairs, etc. All donations will go right to Sara and the boys to help with these necessities. It will take time to rebuild her life and home but having the support of people that love and believe in her will help immensely.
All donations collected will be spent to buy food, pay for temporary housing (hotel, Airbnb, or apartment), car repairs, and to help her get back on her feet. I am sure it will be quite some time before her house is even liveable. Sara and the boys really need any help they can get. They need a safe place to stay, clothes, food, and a working vehicle. If you are in a position to help in any way, we ask that you donate to this fundraiser. Any amount will help.
If you are not in a position to do so, please share this on your social media. While Sara and the boys have lots of family that love them deeply, none of us live in Arkansas.
Any and all prayers and good wishes are also appreciated. She was in the house at the time of the storm. It is only through the grace of God that Sara is alive.
With love and thanks,
