Fighting Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Update 01/05/2022: Baby is born and thank God, he is healthy and no complications. I’ve been at home recovering as well and I’ve had few chemotherapy treatments already. I am optimistic and hopeful that this year; I will beat this cancer…2023 will be my year. Thank you so much for the love, care and support, with your donations/help, I have ordered my “dignicap (cool-scalp treatment for hair loss prevention), $300 each and I have completed 10 out of 16 treatments so far.
There’s more to be done after chemotherapy + immunotherapy but we are taking it day by day. I wish that cancer survivors and fighters don’t have to worry financially, and won’t have fight with insurance to get the help/treatment needed and be covered but it is not the case for now. I am baffled to see the cost of medications and I can’t help myself but worry. Please include us in your prayers and I will continue to update this page as I go through the phases of my treatment. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Dee

Hello, my name is DJ, 37 years old and soon to be mom of 2. Early this year I was diagnosed with stage 2, triple negative breast cancer. This news was hard on me and my family. It’s even harder when I found out that I am expecting. I am currently in treatment and need to complete 16 rounds of chemotherapy.
I am in the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy now and expecting a baby boy very soon (December 12th). After I deliver our baby, I’m expected to continue chemo with immunotherapy treatment, just a week after delivery. This fight is gonna be a long winding road. I need to complete 16 cycles of chemo, then surgery (after 4 weeks of chemo),then followed by 25 cycles of radiation treatment and maybe another round chemotherapy again.
Many people including friends and family are asking how they can help and support us during this time. I have decided to open this to help us with the financial burden that this long road of treatment will impose on us. Aside from emotional, physical, and mental stress that this is causing me and my family, it is a financial burden as well. I will be out of work for few months while getting my treatments and caring for our newborn as well. I am humbly asking for your help to cover my medical bills, deductible’s, and to cover any add-on treatments that our insurance doesn’t cover.
I thank you in advance and I deeply appreciate your help. Any amount you can contribute towards my treatment will ease the burden. Please don’t feel obligated if this is too much. I understand. I am grateful and thankful for your well wishes and prayers for me and my family.
Thank you so much and may God bless you more.
Sincerely,
DJ
