Hello my name is Arizdelsy Becerra, I am from Millbrae CA a small town in the Bay Area. Growing up I was always an active child, playing soccer, basketball, swimming and dancing. Now in my twenties I am a hard worker, all while being a student just trying to make it through college and start my career. This all quickly changed when in March, 2021 I started to notice my body was not the same. It all started with a facial paralysis having two ER visits within 2 weeks. Slowly the paralysis went down to my arm. I could no longer work losing strength on my arm and face, bartending was no longer something I could continue to do. Not seeing any changes and not getting the proper care from doctors here in the States, I left the country to seek medical care in Mexico. Leaving my family and loved ones behind to find the right doctor to help. I was treated right away by various doctors who were interested in my case. I was given a lot of physical therapy and medication to help with all the symptoms I was experiencing. Everything seemed to be getting better slowly. Then on May 10th, 2021 I had a complete set back. I lost complete feeling of my leg and arm they were both paralyzed. Another trip to the ER and having to start all over. This was all just so discouraging after all the progress that I had made. After two months of seeing doctor after doctor I was diagnosed with, neurological motor function disorder. I was so happy to have some sort of an answer but, I could no longer afford to stay in Mexico and pay for treatment, with no source of income. I came back to the States in hope of continuing my therapy and treatment to get better. I quickly realized that was not going to be the case. One door after another got slammed in my face, no one would help me with this strange case of mine. After various weeks of no care I had yet another relapse on June 25th, 2021. This time worse than last time. I could no longer walk and my arm once again paralyzed even more this time. I couldn’t bathe by myself, eat by myself or even use the restroom on my own. So I set out to find a doctor outside of my insurance provider thanks to friends recommendations I was able to find amazing doctors. So many of them willing to help thankfully I was able to find Dr. Azzolino and Dr. Desmarais who provided me with excellent care and treatment. Then again another set back on August 28th, 2021 I had three seizures in one night, another ER visit and no answers. We are still in the process of trying to find a proper diagnosis but have hit our max financially. Both my family and I can no longer afford therapy nor further testing. Since my insurance providers no longer help me or provide care for me we pay everything out of pocket.

We ask for your help both in prayers for my recovery and financially. To continue the search for a diagnosis and to continue my therapy.

Hola, mi nombre es Arizdelsy Becerra, soy de Millbrae CA, una pequeña ciudad en el Área de la Bahía. Al crecer, siempre fui una niña activa, jugaba fútbol, ​​baloncesto, nadaba y bailaba. Lentamente, el parálisis descendió hasta mi brazo. Ya no podía trabajar perdiendo fuerza en mi brazo y cara, ser cantinera y mesera ya no era algo que pudiera seguir haciendo. Al no ver ningún cambio y no recibir la atención adecuada de los médicos aquí en los Estados Unidos, salí del país para buscar atención médica en México. Dejando a mi familia y seres queridos atrás para encontrar el médico adecuado para ayudar. Me atendieron de inmediato varios médicos interesados ​​en mi caso. Me dieron mucha fisioterapia y medicamentos para ayudarme con todos los síntomas que estaba teniendo. Todo parecía mejorar lentamente. Luego, el 10 de Mayo 2021, tuve mal incidente. Perdí por completo la sensación de mi pierna y mi brazo, ambos estaban paralizados. Otro viaje a Urgencias y tener que empezar de nuevo. Todo esto me desanimo después de todo el progreso que había hecho. Después de dos meses de ver a un médico tras otro, me diagnosticaron un trastorno neurológico de la función motora. Estaba feliz de tener algún tipo de respuesta, pero ya no podía quedarme en México y pagar el tratamiento, sin una fuente de ingresos. Regresé a los Estados Unidos con la esperanza de continuar con la terapia y el tratamiento para mejorar. Rápidamente me di cuenta de que ese no iba a ser el caso. Una puerta tras otra se me cerraba en la cara, nadie me ayudaba con este extraño caso. Después de varias semanas sin atención, tuve otra recaída el 25 de Junio de 2021. Esta vez peor que la última vez. Ya no podía caminar y mi brazo una vez mas se paralizó aún peor esta vez. No podía bañarme sola, ni comer sola o incluso usar el baño sola. Así que me propuse encontrar un médico fuera de mi asseguransa gracias a las recomendaciones de mis amigos, pude encontrar médicos increíbles. Muchos de ellos estaban dispuestos a ayudar, afortunadamente pude encontrar al Dr. Azzolino y al Dr. Desmarais, quienes me brindaron una atención y un tratamiento excelente. Luego, otra vez, otra recallida el 28 de Agosto de 2021 Tuve tres convulsiones en una noche, otra visita a la sala de emergencias y no obtuve respuestas. Todavía estamos en el proceso de tratar de encontrar un diagnóstico adecuado, pero hemos alcanzado nuestro máximo financieramente. Tanto mi familia como yo ya no podemos pagar la terapia ni realizar más pruebas. Dado que mi aseguransa ya no me ayudan ni me brindan atención, pagamos todo de nuestro bolsillo.

Pedimos su ayuda tanto en oraciones por mi recuperación como económicamente. Para continuar la búsqueda de un diagnóstico y continuar mi terapia.
