Ari's Family Needs Your Kindness

Donativo protegido
Hi y'all. I am Ari. My family and I (partner Mike, kiddos P and F, and doggo Gracie) are up a creek right now. We have been barely keeping our heads above water the last 18 months due to unexpected job losses, and on June 2nd this year, a car accident. Despite working extra for the previous year, we still needed help from family and friends and loans from our 401 (k) to make ends meet. When the car was wrecked due to someone else's bad decision, I was injured. There were some physical injuries - whiplash, chest contusion, stenosis, and some small herniations in my neck, and a lumbar sprain. I have been in PT working on the physical injuries, and have made great progress. I also got a concussion, a frontal lobe injury, which has proven difficult to recover from, particularly as it has affected my vision, sensitivity to light and sound, balance, and cognition. These symptoms have made driving virtually impossible, and I lost my job. We made it 2 months on some late-arriving paychecks, as well as the last withdrawal from our 401 (k) we could currently make. In addition, we found out a week ago that our dog needs quite a bit of dental work done, in an amount greater than our rent. For this month, we have managed to get assistance covering most of the electric and water bills, and we are now receiving SNAP benefits covering almost half of our food. But we do not have anything toward rent, and we need to keep the car we had to buy, which raised our car payment and insurance. We have some past-due credit cards/loans because they had to take a backseat to housing, food, and transportation. Rent is due no later than September 3rd. I am working on building up my driving tolerance, a terrifying endeavor, so that I can return to work. A position has opened back up, but I need to be able to drive. We do not live where public transportation is a thing. Losing our rental would be devastating. Our children, as well as ourselves, are autistic. We also have ADHD and some other issues. For the first time in our children's lives, they have their own separate spaces, and the rent in this house is as low as it gets where we are. There are no other options. We have good health insurance through Mike's job. Our kids are doing well in school after a traumatic year last year. Essentially, for our safety and sanity, we really need to remain where we are. I am improving every day with treatment. But we need to be able to stay. Our goal allows us to pay rent, cover Gracie's dental work, and cover next month's car payment. The world seems determined to shut us down, but we aren't giving up, and now we need outside help. Our community and support system have helped as much as they can. Now we need YOUR help. Please help us get back on our feet, keep us housed in a house we love, and give us the chance to catch up. We appreciate any help you can provide, and honestly, I might be able to help you in barter. I am good at phone calls. And if you need a letter written, professional, even if just something to help you along in a tough conversation you need to have, I am happy to help. I write a good letter. And I worked for years in customer service, so I can make calls. These are things I can offer in return. Our rent is preferably due September 1st. Ideally. I know it is a short time. And we really need to get Gracie's teeth taken care of quickly. She is clearly feeling off. She is 10, a rescue, and the sweetest pup when given belly scritches and vegetables begotten by the little beggar as tax. Everything helps. No donation is too small.

Thank you very much.
