Well… where do I even begin?

My name is Arionté Thelisme, an independent artist born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. From the time I was a little boy, I carried a deep desire to make the world a better place. I wanted to make people laugh, smile, feel seen, loved, entertained, and even healed. I wanted to ease pain where I could. As I grew older, I realized that this calling lived inside my artistry. Creativity became my superpower, my God given purpose. I could see the vision clearly, even when the path to it felt just out of reach.

As a first generation college graduate from Florida A&M University, I took a leap and moved to Atlanta to pursue my dreams as an Actor, Model, and Creative Director. But as life often teaches us, the journey does not always begin gently. For years, I found myself pouring my energy into supporting other people’s dreams, working two jobs as a substitute teacher and a server, giving so much to survive while barely having space to nurture my own artistry. I was working constantly, yet struggling to find balance between survival and destiny.

Eventually, I realized something had to change. On December 31st, 2025, I made one of the most faith filled decisions of my life. I stepped away from my job and chose to trust God fully, believing that He would make room for me and my artistry. Since then, I have felt a weight lift from my shoulders. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, I finally felt aligned with purpose instead of pressure, fulfillment instead of fear.

For nearly seven years, I have been a struggling independent artist, creating with what I had, making something out of very little, and remaining grateful for every step. But now, I know it is time to take things to the next level.

Your support through Arionté’s Dream Fund will help me do just that. Contributions will go toward:

• Launch my first official art exhibition, creating a sacred space for storytelling, reflection, and visual testimony

•Seek intentional mentorship to refine my craft, sharpen my vision, and navigate the art world with clarity and integrity

• Submit to high-level opportunities and juried showcases (Art Basel, curated exhibitions, grants, and creative residencies)

•Invest in professional acting and film classes to expand my performance skill.

• Travel for artistic and modeling exposure, including NYC, MIA, LA and other cultural hubs that expand my reach and visibility

• Invest in professional-grade tools and materials, such as studio lighting, backdrops, props, canvases, framing, and photographic equipment

• Develop a cohesive visual brand and portfolio, including professional documentation, lookbooks, and digital presence

• Collaborate with other creatives (stylists, designers, makeup artists, set designers, and photographers) to produce intentional, high-impact work

• Secure studio space and creative resources, allowing me the freedom to create consistently and without limitation

• Expand my artistry into new mediums, including conceptual photography, mixed media, performance, and faith-inspired storytelling

• Build sustainable momentum as an independent artist, covering administrative costs, marketing, and long-term growth

• Honor the calling placed on my life, by creating art rooted in faith, resilience, and divine purpose

At its core, my artwork is bigger than me and bigger than money. My artistry exists to serve a higher purpose. It is meant to bring healing, reflect truth, honor vulnerability, and remind people what it means to be seen, held, loved, and allowed to fully exist even in moments of brokenness.

To be completely honest, asking for help has never come easily for me. For most of my life, I have been the one giving, pouring, and showing up for others. Creating this GoFundMe required humility. But a dear friend gently reminded me, “Arionté, you have spent your life pouring into others, your family, your community, your students, strangers, even when you did not have much yourself. It is okay to let people pour back into you.” In that moment, I exhaled. She was right.
