Aries Cancer Battle

My name is Samantha and my best friend Aries is a 9 year old Vizsla. She was recently diagnosed with an aggressive canine cancer, hemangiosarcoma, which has already spread to her lungs. While we didn't have a lot of treatment options, chemotherapy was one that I chose to do, in hopes of shrinking her tumor or slowing the growth to help her have a good quality of life for the rest of this journey.

Aries has been with me through so many highs and lows, including infertility treatments where she would lick my face on the bathroom floor after another negative test, divorce, and she made the 4 day drive with me from Iowa to Las Vegas so we could start over together. She loves laying outside in the sun, climbing her mountains, and getting all the pets and love from passing strangers on our daily walks. At almost 60 pounds, she still considers herself a lap dog and often shares my office chair with me. She's the best girl and it's been a heartbreaking month trying to accept her diagnosis.

Funds raised will go toward her medical bills - I first noticed blood in her urine one time which set off a flurry of vet appointments, labs, and diagnostics to try to understand why it was happening. From my vet I was referred to an oncologist, with trips to the ER in between. She is on several medications and will do 6 rounds of chemotherapy. This all comes with the little things in between - pill pockets, wipes, extra paper towels, etc to have around the house. Any donation is greatly appreciated as I help this sweet girl remain pain-free and positive during a really difficult time.
