Ariel's Journey: Living With Stage 4 EHE
Donation protected
In November, Ariel was diagnosed with pneumonia. Despite treatment, her pain worsened, and she found herself in and out of the emergency room searching for answers- only to be repeatedly sent home with incorrect and dismissive diagnoses.
By March, her condition became serious. She was hospitalized with fluid on her lung, and after a difficult stay that included draining the fluid and inserting chest tubes, the pathology results came back. On her 34th birthday, Ariel was given a devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE), an ultra-rare and aggressive form of vascular cancer. This diagnosis is terminal.
Because EHE is so rare, treatment options are extremely limited. Clinical trials are scarce, and the disease itself is not well understood. In May, scans revealed that the cancer had spread further into Ariel’s lung and toward her spine. She has now started palliative radiation alongside oral chemotherapy to help manage the pain, which is often overwhelming and constant.
Despite everything, Ariel is facing this with unimaginable strength and grace. She is not her diagnosis. She’s a vibrant, loving mother to three beautiful children, a devoted partner, and the kind of friend who brings warmth, light, and laughter into every room. She deserves more time. More comfort. More support.
Her Husband, Raynor, has been her rock- juggling caregiving, parenting, and full-time work. Ariel’s mom, Karen, has stepped in to help provide 24/7 care at home. The emotional, physical, and financial toll on the family is immense.
How You Can Help:
So many people have asked, “How can I support Ariel?” Here’s how your donation can make an immediate difference:
-Help cover ongoing medical expenses, including palliative care and treatments not covered by insurance.
-Support with daily living costs as Raynor balances full-time caregiving and employment.
-Bring some peace of mind to a family facing unimaginable uncertainty.
A meal train is also available, if you are more comfortable donating to the family in the form of a gift card: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/33ynvw/
Every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. If you're unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign, leaving a message of support, or simply keeping Ariel and her family in your thoughts.
Ariel has touched so many lives with her kindness, creativity, and strength. Let’s rally around her with that same love and generosity now.
