Hi, I'm Em, and I need help raising funds for my beautiful girlfriend Arielle Meehl's gender afirming surgery. She's been working towards this surgery for nearly half a decade. The amount of time, energy, and money she's invested in this process is astronomical, and now, with the finish line in sight, the rules of the game have been changed.

Arielle has been working with the same doctor for years, and last year, he decided to leave his practice and start one of his own, without clearing his surgery schedule. So, her procedure was pushed back. And then she was told that all of the paperwork, letters of reccommendation, etc were no longer valid, because the doctor had changed the date. She went back and started the paperwork process AGAIN, and was back on track for the new surgery date. And now, the doctor has once again changed the game, because he neglected to inform Arielle until a few weeks ago that, as he is a new medical practice, he isn't established with health insurance companies yet. Meaning that the costs that would have been covered by her health insurance, now have to be paid straight out of pocket.

Arielle has worked, struggled, and pushed for her surgery too long and too hard to give up now. Seeing her even have to consider walking away breaks my heart. So, despite our pride, I'm coming to you wonderful folks for help. This isn't something we can move forward with without assistance, and I hope that you can find it in your heart to contribute.
