Ariel's Cancer Treatment

Ariel Barragan, 20, has been battling Osteosarcoma since he was only 16 years old. It is a type of bone cancer that begins in the cells that form bones. He was attending Tulelake High School in the small town of Tulelake when he found out he had cancer.  His family relocated to Klamath Falls due to the distance between him and the hospital. He was and still is a very hard working man throughout his cancer journey. He worked for the Tulelake School district after school as a custodian/janitor but stopped when he started his first round of treatment. At that point it spread to his knee which resulted in surgery for the removal of it. It later spread to his lungs which again resulted in three different surgeries and has now grown a tumor behind his trachea (near his heart) where it has been for the past year and has grown 24% since the attempted removal of it. He has more recently began working for DoorDash but because of Covid-19, has refrained from it due to the fact that he only has one capable lung. 

We recently became aware that he doesn’t qualify for radiation or surgery due to where his tumor is currently located now.  He’s on his last chemo medication but we have been looking for other options for him.  One of the options that was referred to us is C.H.I.P.S.A, a Therapy Hospital and Advance Immunotherapy Center for Cancer in Tijuana, Mexico B.C. Although we have this opportunity, the treatment if going to be very expensive. It is estimated to be about $28,000 for three weeks. Our hope is to get him as close to the amount possible and allow for him to receive the treatment in hopes to beat this ONCE AGAIN and continues to enjoy life. Any donation is very much appreciated.  God bless you.  Please keep him in your prayers.
