Ariel Angeles Fight Against Leukaemia

Please Help Ariel Fight Leukaemia and Get through Bone Marrow Transplant.

Not everyone is aware that it has now been a little over 2 months since my brother in law - Ariel has battled cancer with several different types of oral chemotherapy treatments that have helped slow down the progression of this uncurable disease. I am reaching out to you to raise awareness and seek support for an extraordinary individual who has dedicated their life to serving others. Ariel is loving husband to my sister Reggy and a father of two amazing girls (Czarlie 16yo and Gharie 15yo). Ariel is a great friend to a lot of people and is also a compassionate dialysis nurse who has selflessly cared for numerous patients and made a significant impact, especially in serving our Aboriginal brothers and sisters.

Sadly, Ariel is now facing a daunting battle with Leukaemia, an illness that demands extensive medical attention and financial resources. Ariel's medical team has advised that his only cure is to undergo a bone marrow transplant procedure. Upon receiving this devastating update, our family has been urgently seeking a bone marrow donor through several national registries. We continue to pray that a perfect donor will be found and the medical team has indicated that best possible donor match will be his 2 siblings from overseas (Philippines).

My sister Reggy is trying to stay strong - but I have insisted this initiative to at least help ease some of their financial burden. Ariel will no longer be able to work for the foreseeable future to allow him time to win the battle and properly heal while his wife Reggy has never left Ariel's side and is also unable to come back to work while she trying have to manage the logistical expenses with a household and costs associated with making sure their kids are taken care of while also providing and care for herself and Ariel. Ariel will remain on a leave of absence from work for an undetermined period of time and his wife Reggy will continously provide care for her husband while all living expenses, mortgage and bills continues.

The funds we aim to raise will primarily aid in covering the Transplant's Associated Costs and some other Medical Expenses for Ariel's treatments. We have gathered an initial picture of all potential needs (current and future) and allowing the journey/battle to formalize day by day as the procedure occurs.

Funding will be allocated for the following items:

Local accomodation during bone marrow transplant process - The hospital requires that Ariel and Reggy stay in the close proximity area during the 4-5 month bone marrow transplant process. Ariel will require a local accomodation close to the treating hospital (will be interstate - Townsville or Brisbane) so that Reggy can make her daily treatment prior to and after transplant.

Other Medication Costs- It was recently discovered that pharmacy will not cover all the medications that Ariel will require after his transplant will not be covered by their insurance. These co-pay costs are currently unknown
