Aria's Battle: Strokes and Hospital Stay
Donation protected
Friday, May 23rd, Aria was taken to the pediatrician for a head tilt and changes in her behavior. After normal childhood illnesses were ruled out, she was sent to the hospital for tests and evaluation. They soon discovered that sweet Aria had recently suffered a stroke from an unknown cause. Since then, Aria has been in the ICU, continuing to have strokes. Most of the tests have come back negative while her condition declines. They also tested for TBM (tuberculous meningitis), which can be life-threatening, but that also came back negative. She now has a central line placed for plasmapheresis treatments. She is now on her third treatment as of today.
On Sunday, June 1st, Aria was transported to Children's Dallas after an emergency MRI showed that she had recently suffered multiple strokes, which have left her in worse condition. Aria is currently fighting for her life while Rodney, her dad, and Aria's mom are taking turns caring for their 3-year-old big sister, Harlow. Both dad and mom have been off work helping Aria in her fight, and with growing medical bills, living expenses, and the cost of eating at the hospital, they could really use some assistance.
Anything can help even a share and let’s pray this baby girl can overcome what she is battling and get back home to her family.
