Hi my name is Brittany Matthews the sister of Arianna (Salem) Earle. Last Wednesday, May 7th,Arianna was rushed to the emergency for uncontrollable uterine bleeding. Once there she received multiple blood transfusions and it was determined she has Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL). It is a rare and fast developing aggressive type of cancer. Arianna (Salem) is currently admitted at the VG hospital on the cancer floor where she is continuing her transfusions and now having chemo. Her mother Debbie Young has taken a leave of absence from work so she can stay at the hospital with Arianna (Salem). Debbie is a single mother who also has a younger daughter at home. She is in the process of applying for Compassionate Care Benefits through EI, but we all know in this day and age living on half your regular income is not possible. I am hoping to raise enough money to help with the financial stress on the family so Debbie can spend the next few months by Arianna's (Salem's) side without having to worry about bills.
