Small Burden Productions is excited to announce their next project, 'ARGUMENTS,' will premiere at the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival!
A one-act, 60-min play with live musicians about a slowly dissolving relationship, 'ARGUMENTS!' was written by Evelyn-Claire Smith, edited by Nikki Marie, and produced by Small Burden!
SYNOPSIS: Set in a brick-walled apartment in Hell’s Kitchen, New York; couple Alex and Alma learn about each other (and themselves) through a series of arguments. The arguments vary through the course of their relationship and bring to light issues of intimacy, ambition, and ask the question; how much would you give to someone who asks? Their inner thoughts are scored by two musicians onstage who amplify their respective fears, dreams, and feelings towards each other, saying everything they can’t say to each other.
Our last project, Much Ado About Nothing, was a Hollywood Fringe 2025 hit, with multiple sold out shows and a Zephyr Zest Award nomination. We are excited by the creation of new and original art, and with an all-female production team, we would love your help getting this show on stage. Any amount helps! Funds will go toward theater and rehearsal venue fees, the most expensive part of putting up a show.
