This is my baby boy Ares, I got him about 6 months after I tried to commit suicide and let me tell you... HE SAVED ME.

A little back story on my baby, I got him when he was about 2 years old from The Animal Foundation out here in Vegas and it was the best thing I have ever done in my life. I've had him for 7 fruitful years now and he taught me the real meaning of love and how to be loved unconditionally... which that alone is something I could never repay. He has been and is the joy of my life. Ares is the sweetest, most playful, loving boy a girl in need could ever ask for.

Now, its my turn to do the same and save him.

He was misdiagnosed with a hygroma which I found out recently was a tumor. The tumor has since been removed but they weren't able to remove it entirely because of its location. Since, he has been diagnosed with a low grade soft tissue sarcoma. Typically they would amputate the leg but he already has his back right leg amputated so he would have to get a full body wheelchair for mobility which would reduce his overall mobility and in my belief his quality of life. His next and only other option would be to put him through radiation therapy in Carlsbad, Ca at VCA California Veterinary Specialists because there is no specialized treatment in Nevada for veterinary care, which is the plan. He would have to stay in California for 3 and half weeks without me because I cannot afford to stay in California with him unfortunately and would only be able to visit and stay with him on the weekends with my current circumstances but also driving to and from and staying on the weekends also has its own expenses. His treatment and stay alone is expected to be roughly $16,300 not including however much it will cost to drive to and from along with staying on the weekends to visit him during his treatment. He has to have 17 consecutive treatments of radiation which has a 90% percent chance of killing any remaining cancer cells and maintaining his current mobility and quality of life. I don't have kids, I have dogs and they are my children... the difference with Ares is not only is my child, he again saved me and deserves to be here but he deserves the world and everything I have to give and anything that I can do in this life to ensure he is healthy and happy. He is so full of life and is not ready to go please help him continue to live his happy and fulfilling life with me and his siblings. Please help me save him and give us all more time with the foundation our family.

Funds will be used towards his treatment and stay $16,309.70, any remaining funds will be used specifically towards transportation to and from Carlsbad, CA and possibly towards my stay in Carlsbad, CA on the weekends to visit him during his 3 and a half week treatment as I am unable to afford staying during the duration of his treatment. If anything were to be left over it will go to toys for him and his siblings and then donated back to another organization that helps animals that are in the shelter due to Ares and his siblings all being adopted at The Animal Foundation.
