Ardstraw Community Playgroup has been at the heart of the community for 37 years. That’s 2 generations through our doors. We are a top performing playgroup with often full capacity. This year we have 21 preschool children. We are always trying to adapt and cater for children with additional needs. We are constantly training and investing time and money in order to support every child.

We believe that our playgroup is an absolutely crucial part of the local area with it having positively affected everyone in the village and others from Castlederg to Newtownstewart and everywhere in between.

There is a common misconception that we are funded by the Education Authority or are part of Ardstraw Jubilee Primary School. Unfortunately this is not the case and albeit we have funded places from EA and work closely with the Primary School we are self sufficient and have to raise funds ourselves. You will remember our famous Tractor Runs and Coffee Evenings.

With all that learning and having fun, we have one major problem. Our building is in a very dilapidated state!

This is where we really do need your help in order to secure the future of our playgroup for your children and your grandchildren. Our new building, which we hope to get this summer should cost £100,000 and we still have a way to go to pay that bill.
