Pray for Arden Sawtelle

(Arden with sister Austyn)
From family friend Sunee Persinger:
Please let me introduce you to sweet, spunky Arden Rose Sawtelle. This little seven year old love bug is a lover of all animals, so much so she once went through a stage where she refused to wear any clothing that did not feature some sort of four legged creature. She can bust a dance move anywhere and to any tune, the best being to "What Does The Fox Say?" Her coloring skills are impecable, she is smart as a whip, but most importantly she has a heart of pure gold. Her love and knowledge for Jesus is deep.
Arden was just handed one of the toughest diagnosis known to the pediatric population. After experiencing some facial drooping to the left side of her face, slight shoulder drop, and balance impairments, Arden underwent an MRI. This MRI delivered life changing news that sweet little Arden Rose has a growth on her brain stem, one that is inoperable and goes by the name Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). DIPG is an extemely rare and highly aggresive brain stem tumor. While medical advances have been extraordinary for some cancers, DIPG is not one. DIPG is the leading cause of death from pediatric brain tumors and has a 9 month survival time from diagnosis. Barring a miracle, it offers no chance of survival.
While devastated, Jonathan and Kelly remain firm in their faith in Jesus and are currently seeking a 6 week radiation treatment at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, TN. Radiation will hopefully shrink the tumor to allow for Arden to have an incredible 6 months of time with her family and friends before the tumor will once again present and palliative treatment will begin. During this time, Jonathan is planning on taking as much time off of work as possible. This time will most likely be unpaid. Please help me in raising money to support the Sawtelle's so they don't have to stress over finances in the next couple of months but can rather love on their babies and truly enjoy the time Arden has left to grace us with her spunky little presence.
Your time, prayers, and/or donations are appreciated more than can ever be expressed. Thank you!
From Uncle Ryan:
As you can imagine, this has been a very emotional week for our family. We ask that you respect Jonathan and Kelly's privacy and to direct any questions to me or our sister, Ashley.
