NOTE: an extremely thorough update will be shared soon, but a tl;dr of where we're at now is this collection includes everything from undiscovered Jackson Browne documentary footage (over 24 hours worth), the masters of the Jamaica Music Festival and an attempted documentary with it, tidbits from Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones ranging from jams with friends at his clubs to personal footage, and tons of NYC esoterica ranging from Public Access shows to slices of life, and its been incredibly expensive to store this and transfer it as I've needed to change facilities, rent trucks to do this, and more.
We might even be doing a documentary on the Jamaica Music Festival with the Rolling Stone. More news on that soon posted here and on twitter via @yburyug
If you're here today its because you have been following, and I appreciate every one of you. I will never profit off of this project. I just live in new york city and my rents gone up $600/mo in the past 18 months and I also will need atleast another 14-18 months of storage at ~$300/mo to finish out what we have. I'm thousands of dollars in past the original donations and the project is not as risk, but any help goes a long ways. This is an expensive hobby. Any further donations will be used to assist with unexpected costs, logistics costs, and transfer costs that will come up as we go through this massive collection.
This storage, transport, and scanning is going to take a lot of time and effort, but its going to be so awesome!
