Hi Everyone
I’m guessing most of you, if not all - have heard through the bush telegraph that Archie Schacht has been diagnosed with leukaemia. As The Schacht family are quickly learning, they will be facing many obstacles over the next while. For those of you that know Arch - his hair is his absolute prize possession and it is inevitable that he is going to lose it. To show support to Archie and The Schacht Clan there will be Archie’s Brave Shave at Mirada Hair in Maffra on Dec 22 at 12pm. Ideally we would like a few people to part with their locks alongside Archie, Jan (Yes Jan!) & Tom but we know that’s not for everyone so if you could manage a donation that would be hugely appreciated.
We will have more info in the near future so stay tuned. In the meantime Mirada will be taking donations. All monies raised will go directly to childhood cancer research at the Monash Health Foundation.
The Children’s Cancer Foundation has been at the forefront of cancer research, clinical care and family support for decades, bringing together motivated and passionate individuals who are dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families affected by cancer.
Their mission is to enable children with cancer to access the world’s best treatment and support and to build awareness of childhood cancer in the community and within governments. The Children’s Cancer Foundation supports families through treatment, partners with hospitals to deliver clinical excellence and builds world-class paediatric cancer clinical research.
