Dear Friends,

I am writing to share about my beloved friends, Pastor Aoum and his wife Katty, who are faithfully serving in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and to invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with them in their ministry and family journey.

By God’s grace, Aoum has just completed his doctoral degree in New Testament, becoming only the third Thai to earn this distinction. He serves as a lecturer at McGilvary College of Divinity, Payap University, where his calling and passion are to train the next generation of Thai church leaders to be deeply rooted in Scripture. Each year, around 30 graduates leave the seminary to serve in churches and ministries across Thailand. Beyond teaching, Aoum disciples students, nurtures their spiritual lives, and equips them to lead with faith and resilience in a changing world.

Alongside this ministry, Katty has been faithfully serving in their local church and at the House of Blessing in Chiang Mai, a Christian children’s home that cares for nearly one hundred children who are orphaned, abandoned, or at risk of trafficking. She has poured herself into this work with love and devotion, while also caring for their two children, Archie (6) and Allie (4). After years of miscarriages and prayer, the Lord blessed them with these precious gifts. Archie, in particular, has special needs (ASD level 2, ADHD, and SPD), which has given Katty a deep understanding of a mother’s love and daily reliance on God’s provision.

Recently, a new opportunity has arisen for Archie’s schooling. As he takes the next step into kindergarten, Aoum and Katty have prayerfully chosen Dara Academy, a Christian school with a strong special education program and supportive staff. While this school is a wonderful fit, it comes at an added cost of $166 per month ($2,000 per year) above his current tuition. With Aoum’s ongoing health challenges—including recent back surgery and concerning neurological symptoms that may indicate early Parkinson’s disease—this need feels especially heavy for their family.

Despite these trials, Aoum and Katty remain steadfast in their faith and committed to contributing toward Archie’s education costs. Yet, with both medical and educational needs before them, there is an opportunity for others to come alongside and help close the remaining gap. Our hope is to garner additional support to cover this tuition increase of $2000.
