We are parents to Archie, our 2 and a half year old, and Florence our 6 month old. Archie struggles with balance, coordination, and hyper mobile joints. This means he is unable to walk independently.
At present he is a medical mystery. Despite countless blood tests, genetic tests, and MRI scans nobody can understand why Archie is facing these challenges.
We would love to offer Archie more specialist and targeted physiotherapy, our dream would be to take him to a 3 week long intensive physiotherapy course at the NAPA centre in London, however this comes at the cost of approximately £6000 plus accommodation to stay there for the duration.
Archie has the correct walking patterns, he can crawl, pull to stand, cruise furniture, and stand independently for a few seconds at a time, so with extra support and specialist equipment we believe Archie will be able to achieve independent steps.
Archie is such a determined boy and hasn’t let his difficulties hold him back, but the older he gets the more frustrated he’s getting that his body won’t do what he wants. He is the most lovely and happiest boy and he deserves to be able to run around with his peers one day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read, any funds or support that could go towards Archie’s first steps would mean the world to us ❤️
