Archie's battle with MRT

We are fundraising in support of the absolutely gorgeous and incredibly brave little Archie, and his beautiful Mum Kelly and Dad Jordan!

Archie is only One year old and he is quite suddenly facing the fight of his life.

Kelly has been pushing Doctors for some time to listen to her concerns with little Archie, concerns that were finally heard when they were sent in a hurry to Emergency Department last week in Townsville. From there things have happened extremely quickly with Archie and Kelly having been rushed to Brisbane Childrens Hospital for urgent medical care. Jordan now also in Brisbane with them!

Upon receiving an official diagnosis today, with initial fears confirmed, the journey ahead is a long and difficult one, and one that will require an entire community's support.

Archie has been diagnosed with a Rare Malignant Rhabdoid Tumour.

Archie will begin treatment right away, given that his Cancer is of the aggressive variety, he at this time requires round the clock care.

Both of his Parents Kelly and Jordan will need to relocate with him to Brisbane for at a minimum the next 12 months.

At this time Kelly is with Archie by his side 24/7 in hospital and Jordan able to stay at the Ronald Mcdonald House close by, both of them giving everything they can for their son whilst they begin his treatment and monitor the progress. The obvious hopes, and what they need prayers for, is that the tumour responds to treatment right away, given that if it doesnt, the prognosis is very dire.

Next steps from there are that they will need to be moved into a self contained unit nearby for his ongoing treatment in the coming months, with a likely permanent move to Brisbane to be near the Childrens hospital, as Archie will require lifelong care and monitoring.

Both Kelly and Jordan will be needing to leave behind their work and both their support networks, all located in Townsville, while they face the battle of a lifetime with their little boy.

The funds raised will go towards covering any and all bills, costs of transport to and from the hospital, food as well as all living costs for the 3 of them, throughout the next 12 months while they navigate no doubt the most trying and terrifying time of their lives.
