Archie's Army - Sky Dive

Hi all, on 6th April 2024 myself (Arthur’s mum) Baz (Archie’s dad) & Grace (Belles mum) are joining the Archie army fundraising mission and jumping 12,000ft out of a plane at Headcorn…

For those that don’t know Archie was diagnosed with T-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in February 2023… and since then has been raising aware and even released a no1 charity single ‘fight song’ with all the children in the class at Southborough Primary School including Arthur and Belle to raise money for children with cancer… Archie truly is an inspirational young man and thankfully is in remission and in the maintenance cycle of treatment… treatment for leukaemia will be a timeframe of 3.5 years that’s a hell of a ride for anyone let alone a 9 year old child and to put it in to context Archie was diagnosed in Y4 at school and will be in Y7 at secondary school when he finishes..

My aim was to raise as much money to divide between Archie’s chosen children’s cancer charity and also for Archie and his family… and so the skydive idea was born and booked before we could change our minds…

It’s so important to raise much needed funds for research and funding but it is also equally important to give some back to Archie… you see as a family they have had their world turned upside down and sideways and still whilst putting Archie first and foremost they have made it their mission to raise money and awareness and do nothing but give to other…. BUT they also deserve help too… to do anything whilst a child is in treatment is a minefield the planning, the getting permission from hospital and if they want to go on holiday wowzer, the insurance cost alone will sky rocket. Archie has an older brother and sister and to be able to give them something to go and have some much needed quality family time would mean the world to us all…

So we are going to pull up our big girl pants, step into the harness and be attached to a complete stranger each who are going to launch us out of a plane together… proving that whatever you set your mind too you can conquer…

Archie has set his mind to beating his cancer and to be there to show other children that anything is possible… so let’s go champ let’s show everyone what a warrior and inspiration you truly are
