My name is Aesha, and I’ve had the joy of calling Archia a friend since high school. Anyone who’s met her knows how vibrant, kind, and full of life she is; always ready with a laugh, always thinking of others. Over the years, even as life has taken us in different directions, Archia has never changed. She's still the same warm, generous spirit I met all those years ago.

I’m starting this GoFundMe because I want her to feel the love and support, she’s always shown others and to remind her that she’s not alone, especially now.

After a week-long trip to the Philippines to bury her late grandfather, Archia returned to Vancouver and become suddenly and severely ill; just one day after landing.

Which started as chest pain and fever quickly turned into something much more serious. Archia was hospitalized and diagnosed with myocarditis, inflammation of the heart. While being monitored, she began experiencing some fatigue, difficulty breathing, high fevers, and constant coughing.

Soon after, doctors discovered multiple bacterial infections, including E. coli and Campylobacter, which led to severe gastrointestinal distress and required IV fluids, antibiotics and continuous observation. Days into her hospital stay, Archia was finally diagnosed with measles, which explained worsening symptoms-including painful throat ulcers, respiratory issues, and dangerously high fevers.

Archia has been in the hospital since July 7th, undergoing countless tests and treatments. She’s unable to work, and the financial strain is growing heavier each day. Her fiancé has taken on everything, but with rising costs, it's been nearly impossible to keep up.

We are asking for support to help cover the cost of rent, bills, groceries, and other essentials, so Archia can focus on healing. Any amount helps. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page means the world and makes a difference.
