Archer’s fight against Neuroblastoma
Donation protected
Last week the Tidwell family embarked on every parent’s worst nightmare. Archer, their youngest son who is a year, old stopped walking. A once very active little boy just months shy of his second birthday was unable to use his legs and screamed horrible pain when they tried to have him stand. After two ER trips, the second trip resulted in an MRI and found tumors on his spine as well as other places in his little body.
Little Archie has been diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in all tumor areas. It has been Nevada and Jimmy’s worst nightmare coming to fruition navigating this new world and watching their poor baby in such pain. The medical procedures he has already endured and will continue for the next few years to fight for his life are just a small portion of what life will look like for the Tidwells.
Nevada and Jimmy also have 3 other sons that they are trying to comfort and make life as normal as possible for; while being at the hospital and commuting for oncology visits.
This journey is not what any parent wants, but they know their job is to help sweet Archie fight for his life. They are prepared to do everything it takes to cure Archer. I’m doing so they will have to miss work, commute to Los Angeles (CLA), chemo treatments and provide for their family with inflation at an all time high.
Nevada is a full time Special Education teacher in Brea,CA. She gives every child everything she has and has a heart of pure gold. We have had the privilege of working with her over the past years and she was instantly loved by all staff, parents and students. As Nevada’s friends and colleagues we are asking for your help to take some of their financial burden away so they can focus on providing the best care for Archie. We ARE Archie’s Army and are asking you to join his fight against cancer.
