Support Archer & family through heart surgery
Donation protected
Gorgeous baby Archer Jak was born on 30th May to Jonathan Stainburn (Steiny) and Kirstie Dixon.
At 10 weeks old, Archer was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Tricuspid Atresia and a restrictive ventricular septal defect (VSD - hole in the heart).
He requires open heart surgery in the next 4-6 weeks called a cavo-pulmonary connection to bypass the heart providing a permanent blood supply to his lungs for the upper body. He will then require a second open heart surgery at the age of 3/4 years old. As well as major surgery, Archer will spend the rest of his life on warfarin, will be unable to play certain sports and has a lower life expectancy.
This is a heartbreaking thing for any parent to go through with their baby.
Jonathan is a self employed builder and Kirstie is on maternity leave having worked as a teaching assistant, with another 5 young children between them to support.
It would be a massive help if we were able to provide a little financial support to the family at this time to allow Jonathan to be able to take some time off for Archer’s surgery and recovery without them having the added worry of how to pay the bills.
