Firstly, thank you so much for visiting this page, I know 2020 has been a stressful year and has placed enormous financial pressure on families. I will be completing daily sea swims from the 13th of December until Christmas Day, for ARC cancer support services. If you can donate anything at all I would be so thankful.
Please read our story below
Unfortunately for my family the last two
years have been extremely difficult. In April
2019 my mam was diagnosed with a
cancerous brain tumour at the age of 46. She was operated on immediately and began the lengthy process of radiation and chemotherapy. She completed her treatment in January.
It was a tough year but she was so strong. Then we received another blow when her husband, my dad Peadar, was diagnosed with prostate cancer after investigations which started in February. He too was operated on immediately and began his healing at home. The thought of possibly loosing two parents was incomprehensible, it shook our family.
What offered us some peace was the supporting services of ARC. The goal of ARC is to provide psychological, emotional, educational and practical support in a warm and welcoming environment to people with cancer and those who care for them. Their services are confidential, professional and caring, and are provided free of charge.
Currently ARC are running all services online, these services are vital and need to continue. Please please donate what you can, you or someone you know may need their support too.
