Hi, my name is Marissa and I am fundraising on behalf of my mother-in-law, Arcelia Chavez, and her family. About one month ago she went to the hospital dehydrated and unable to keep food down. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was extremely aggressive cancer that had spread from her breasts into her blood and beyond. She is currently on hospice at home with very little time left. Her wish for as long as I can remember, was to be sent home to Mexico to be buried next to her parents. Sadly there is no life insurance and with completely unexpected diagnosis and the speed at which she has declined no time to save. The cost of her funeral, transportation of her remains to Mexico, and the burial there is costly. Normally we would be able to cover the expense ourselves, but in January my mother unexpectedly passed and our daughter-in-law spent January and part of February in the hospital on a vent all while pregnant. Fortunately our daughter-in-law pulled through and had a healthy baby girl in July. However, all of this has left us unable to contribute much for my mother-in-law’s final wishes. We understand times are hard on everyone lately and any amount will help. If you are unable to contribute a little financially, please share so others can see.
