I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer last Summer 2019 and I was made redundant from my job just 2 weeks later.  It was like 2 hammer blows for the price of one . ARC Cancer Support were there to help pick up the pieces, and help me try make sense of it all. For that I will be forever grateful to ARC Cancer Support Services. I was always fairly fit and completed the Dublin Marathon on 3 previous occasions, and also any fun runs or Duathlons I could get my hands on . I was due to participate this year for my 4th and final marathon, and then Covid arrived and parked that plan up for this year. So I thought why put off until next year, what I could do this year. I decided to enter and walk The Dublin Virtual Marathon on the 24th of October next and try raise some vital funds for ARC Cancer Support Services, a charitable organisation that helps people like myself in a time of cancer crisis.
