Memorial Donation for Andrew Gombos

Andrew was a wonderful husband and best friend to Sharon for 44 years. Over these years, Andrew was an amazing, loving father to Jana, Sara, Leah, Drew and Kala. He was a loving grandfather to Ashley, Ty, Brandon, Gianna, Anna, Aubrey, Allene and Alyssa. He was an extraordinary man, loved by his family and friends. He was the light of the room and life of the party. There was not a friend he couldn’t make. A very giving man and you were always welcome in his home and to have a meal that he would no doubt make for you. There are many blessed to have known Andy – limo driver, master chef, pinochle and poker player, die-hard Mets fan, NFL fan – great with picks, and lover of music from Sinatra to the Beatles, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones. He was most known for the unconditional love he had for his family. He loved living in Florida these last years with his wife and being close to his children and grandchildren. Most of all, the last months of his life he gave everything he could to be the best husband and friend, in sickness and in health for his wife, Sharon, the absolute love of his life. Although he is gone from us on this earth, he is now with the Lord, and reunited with his daughter Kala, his sister Anne and his parents. May he rest in peace.
