While my sister Araseli isn’t busy working with her specially abled students, she’s caring for her family. One that has been struggling with epilepsy for the last couple of years. Last month she started having issues with her head and eyes. After many, many tests she was found to have a Meningioma. It has been causing her great discomfort and stress. Typically these are benign tumors on the brain but can be dangerous, as they can cause blindness and other things. Even surgery could possibly be more dangerous causing a heart attack or a stroke.

With the help of God, some trusted doctors and second opinions, the decision was made to go through with surgery, later this month. It is possibly a 12 hour surgery, possible radiation, and i’m sure therapies after.

With medical expenses and summer (teachers do not get paid during break), I thought maybe some financial help, meals, and/or care packages, would help alleviate some of these things during this hard time.
