Support a Survivor of Drunk Driving Tragedy

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Our hearts are heavy as we navigate through one of the most challenging times our family has ever faced. On August 13, 2023, my beloved mother became a victim of a senseless act of drunk driving. In a split second, our lives were forever changed when a reckless individual, driving over 100 miles per hour, took away not only my mother’s partner and shattered my mothers heart, but also the foundation to our family.

I can only imagine that my mother's partner is a wound that may never fully heal. As we struggle to comprehend the injustice of it all, we find ourselves grappling with the reality that the perpetrator may only face a trial for manslaughter and potentially serve 3-6 years behind bars.

The emotional toll on my entire family is immeasurable. Supporting my mother as she has she lost her partner, her confidant, and her companion, but making sure she finds the strength to navigate life in a new light. The pain of this tragedy is compounded by the knowledge that it could have been prevented.

In the midst of this very sad time in our lives, we are reaching out to our community for support. The financial strain of medical bill has grown substantially, my loving mother sustained a severe head injury during the reckless impact caused by another person, which has impacted her work ability as a hairdresser like myself. Her children including myself are trying to provide ongoing emotional support to our mother in the midst of it all. We are humbly asking for your help to ease this burden and allow my mother to focus on her healing journey from her head injury, internal, emotional Vertigo ect.
