Arabella's fight for life

Hello, my name is Kiran and I have started this Gofundme for a sweet baby girl and a loving heart family that I have met and became great friends with at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Stanford in Palo Alto.

Here is their story...
"On May 31st 2022, we went in for our 20 week anatomy scan at Alta Bates in Berkeley. During the scan, the technician noticed something very wrong. She left without saying a word to get the doctor. At that point, we knew it was serious. The doctor repeated the scan and told us about the abnormalities they found with our baby's heart. She left the room and immediately got in contact with Stanford Medical Cardiovascular in Walnut Creek. We were able to get an emergency appointment. We were on the way and felt so scared and worried. We had absolute no idea what awaited us.. The baby received an echocardiogram, which is an ultrasound of the heart. We received the most devastating news you could get as expecting parents. "The baby has Tricuspid Atresia (TA), a Ventricular Septal defect (VSD), along with Transposition of the Great Arteries(D-TGA). After receiving the news, we were given three options.. The first was to terminate the pregnancy. Second, was to take the baby home and let her life run itd course, and the third was to have Arabella undergo three open heart surgeries. The decision was hard. We didn't want to be selfish but we also knew Arabella was already fighting to live. We could not give up on her. She was not giving up on us. Every ultrasound that came afterwards showed us a bit of her personality. We loved her so much already. Arabella had two more echos after her initial echo to see if there had been any changes but her anatomy remained the same. Along with Arabella's condition, I was diagnosed with pregnancy-related high blood pressure(preeclampsia). Due to the overwhelming news and now having a high risk pregnancy, I had to stop working. Arabella's father was now the only one providing financially for our home and hospital visits. During September, we got news that Erik's job would be shutting down and he would be left without a job. Arabella was born on October 5th, 2022. As soon as she was born, she was taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU) where she stayed the first weeks of her life. On October 14th, 2022, Arabella underwent her first open heart surgery at only 2 weeks old. The surgery was a success and Arabella was transferred to the CVICU to receive post-op care. She is currently still at Stanford struggling to recover and has been trying to catch up on learning how to be a baby. She will undergo her second open heart surgery in February 2023. After that surgery, she will have to have another and hopefully last surgery at the age of three years old. It is possible that Arabella may need a heart transplant with her future being so uncertain as she is a single-ventricle baby. We pray for strength to continue to be strong for Arabella."

My goal for creating this fundraiser for this family is to provide financial relief so that they can spend the holidays loving on their sweet daughter as they will soon be preparing to be admitted yet again for another heart surgery.
