Help Junior Women Represent Team USA at Road Worlds
Hi, my name is Megan Jastrab - a former junior cyclist who had the honor of racing for the USA Cycling National Team at the 2019 Junior UCI Road and Track World Championships. Today, I race professionally at the World Tour level and am proud to be an Olympic bronze medalist and 3-time Junior World Champion. I have also competed at four Elite World Championships.
My experience at Junior Worlds shaped my life and career. It opened doors that helped me pursue cycling professionally. It was only possible because of the generous people who supported me and helped me get there.
Now I want to pay it forward.
Why I’m Fundraising
The 2025 Road World Championships will be held in Kigali, Rwanda — an exciting and historic location for cycling, but also one that makes travel costs significantly higher. With the increase in costs, USA Cycling may not be able to fund a full team of junior women. This means junior women will be missing out on an available opportunity to compete at the highest level and having the honor of representing Team USA.
My Goal
My aim is to raise $10,000 to increase the number of athletes USA Cycling can take and to make sure the juniors selected do not need to worry about funding their trip. I want these incredible young athletes to be able to focus on what matters most — racing their hearts out for Team USA.
Why I Care
Cycling has been part of my life since I was a kid, and I was fortunate to have support from donors, friends, and family who made sure I could attend the biggest races in the world. That support gave me opportunities that helped shape my future.
Now, I want to help make that possible for the next generation of American junior women.
Where Your Money Goes
All funds raised will go directly toward:
• Airfare and international travel
• Equipment transport
• USA Cycling National Team fees
The donated funds will go to the USA Cycling Foundation and to be distributed to the USA Cycling Junior Women’s program – More Information on the USA Cycling Foundation, which is a donor-supported entity can be found here: https://usacycling.org/foundation
I’ll work closely with USA Cycling to make sure all the funds that are collected will be distributed to the junior women program.
Let’s Make This Possible
To kick things off, I’m personally donating all the prize money I earn(ed) from June of 2025 till the Road World Championships.
Now I’m asking you, whether you’re a cycling fan, a former racer, or just someone who wants to invest in the next generation — to help support these young women as they take on the world.
Whether it’s $10 or $500, your contribution helps make their dream a reality. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends, family, and community. If you do donate, please leave an email address where the USA Cycling Foundation and myself can contact you to share our gratitude for your contribution.
Thank you for supporting the future of USA Cycling and for believing in the power of sport to change lives.
With gratitude,
Megan Jastrab
