dear starr king.
we have many heroes in our community, but there is one in particular that we should honor right now; our MR. KENNY. you’ve seen him on the yard at starr king. he is there each day before school and at every recess. he makes sure the kids are playing in a safe and respectful way. in between recesses, he helps kids who are having a tough time focusing and gets them redirected and learning again.
now that is all good, but that’s not what makes mr. kenny a hero. in addition to working at starr king and being the father of three young boys, mr. kenny decided to go back to school. ON OCTOBER 15, MR. KENNY WILL BE GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL. don’t you think that’s heroic?!?!?
some parents and teachers have been taking about honoring mr. kenny’s bravery, gumption and dogged perseverance with a gift. now, at first, we were thinking a t-shirt and card, but somebody close to mr. kenny said suggested that HE COULD REALLY USE A COMPUTER.
so, here i am, asking the members of the starr king community to HELP BUY MR. KENNY A COMPUTER. we will determine which one we get once we collect the money. if we raise $200 we can get a chrome book, $400 a pretty powerful pc, $1400 a macbook. you see where i am going.
