Anyone who knows Catherine also knows her kitty Bones - her best friend, loyal companion and favourite thing in the world.

Bones was diagnosed with diabetes last year and recently went on insulin, but he’s been unstable as the vets have been finding the right dosage for his needs, which has come with complications.

On Feb 7 Bones got very sick and was rushed to the animal hospital. His bloodwork revealed that his unstable diabetes caused him to enter Diabetic Keto Acidosis, which is a dangerous and life-threatening condition caused by unstable blood sugar. DKA also caused him to stop retaining water, which puts him at risk of his organs failing, along with the life-threatening blood sugar complication.

Thankfully they have him in stable condition, but he has to stay hospitalized in ICU and monitored for a few days which has come with some very unexpected and very expensive medical bills.

Cath would pay any amount of money to keep Boney healthy, but the $6-8k bill has put a lot of financial stress on her and will make it harder to pay rent and afford necessities for the next little while.
