Aquila Gives 2022

What is it? Aquila Gives is the annual fundraiser for Aquila Elementary School. Sponsored by Aquila PTO, the goal is to raise funds to be used by every grade level teacher and specialist teacher to enhance the educational experiences of our students and build community within our school.

Why do we raise these funds? Funds directly benefit Aquila students to provide opportunities and resources that are otherwise not funded. Money raised last year paid for over 80 third graders to visit the Minnesota Zoo, over 90 kindergarteners to visit Lake Harriet and ride the historic trolley, and over 60 fifth graders to attend a production at Children’s Theatre Company. Fundraiser donations also purchase items used by the entire school, such as the playground’s gaga pit, 3D printers, and more.

Who is involved? Aquila Give$ relies on the entire community to support this effort. Students, families, staff members, neighbors, community members, local businesses, and employers all contribute to the fundraiser. We ask students and families to spread the word about the fundraiser – let others know how wonderful Aquila Elementary School is and why they should support its students! Local businesses allow Aquila Gives to advertise at their stores and shops, and many employers match donations made by their employees to Aquila Gives. It truly is a community effort!
