Hello!
Many of you know my fiance, Lady Zen, an accomplished writer, performer and creative mind. Currently, she is residing in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico; where she is singing, performing, writing and learning more about Mexican cuisine.
I've been planning to join her in Mexico at the soonest convenience, saving money and tying up loose ends. But, as Portlanders know, just making ends meet during the cold winter months becomes a challenge when you work in the service industry. With the slowing down of business, paired with the lack of opportunity for my other talents, the feeling of being stuck is once again setting in.
Portland, ME has been my home for the past 6+ years. My creativity, passion & craft were all cultivated here. My community here is FULL of incredible, talented, genuine, top notch individuals. As an artist, I am thankful for the ways Portland has grown me & given me voice. I have accomplished so many incredible things here.
In these past months, I have become increasingly aware that this growth is coming to a stopping point. The skills I've gained and the talent I have cultivated, traits that have repeatedly proved to be my saving grace, are in need of more opportunity and more challenge. Simply put, I have outgrown what Maine can offer me right now. I need a fresh start.
My ultimate goal is to join Zen in Mexico in about 6-8 weeks. I have the opportunity to perform, learn, and appreciate a beautiful, artistically rich city. I plan to spend at least 2-3 months there, with our kitty Poof in tow, as well as a video camera to document our adventures to share with all of you. In order to do that, I need to raise some funds.
A contribution of any amount would absolutely make my day. Asking for things is hard, but there's nothing to lose by doing it.
We have some fabulous perks as well! Check them out below.
Maybe we'll get to see you in Mexico!!!
