Learning the Science of Aquaponics

Tax deductible
Hello everyone! We are students attending Colorado High School Charter (CHSC) in Denver. CHSC is an institution that is dedicated to helping students get a new start, and pointing toward a brighter future. One way the teachers do this is by focusing their lessons on project-based learning. Project-based learning is the process of learning practical problem solving skills by exploring and experiencing real world issues and how to go about addressing them.

We are currently learning about hydroponic and aquaponics systems in our science class and working with these systems at a local community center. As high school students, we want to learn about and be able to build our own aquaponics system in our classroom. In doing so, we can grow fresh fruits & vegetables making them more accessible to us and our community. We have partnered with an organization called Earth Rebirth who have committed to a generous donation of $800 to help provide the materials needed for this robust and sustainable system. In order to make this hands-on learning experience possible we would like to ask you for a matching gift of $800 to maximize our project budget. It would mean a great deal to us and no donation is too little. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we appreciate your time and support very much.
