Hello All,
For those who will read this that I don’t know, my name is Dametri. With much prayer and still very reluctant, I decided to organize this GoFund me on behalf of my beautiful sister Aquanetta Wiggins Jones. I can’t allow my pride to keep me from asking for help.
If you didn’t know, my sister Aquanetta was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in early June of this year. Like so many others, it has turned her whole life around.
Yet, her strength and determination is stronger than ever. She has yet to take a medical leave from her job. However, there are days she simply can’t work due to her treatments that rob her of her physical strength. She doesn’t have sick days, so if she doesn’t work she doesn’t get paid.
Many of you may know Aquanetta has learning challenges, but she manages life and living without depending on help from the system and others outside of me. I have always been so proud of her because she never makes excuses. She does her absolute best with what she has to work with.
With rent and simply overall prices skyrocketing, it’s harder for me to cover both of our households. This cancer has robbed her of so much, I refuse to let it rob her of her independence.
Without her car she can’t get to work, without work she can’t keep her apartment and food on the table for both her and Abigail her daughter.
She has fallen behind in some of her bills. With 8 more weekly sessions to go through, that means more weekly days out of work. I don’t want her to worry about nothing but getting better. That is why I, we, need your help. I understand that times may not be easy, but if you can spare anything, even $5 or less will add up. Our goal is $3,000. That will help with outstanding bills and offset for the near future until she is done with her treatment. Please remember, she is working but there are treatment days that she can’t work.
