Help Us Lay Mario to Rest

Our family is heartbroken to share that my brother, Mario Jesus Leal Acosta, passed away unexpectedly from a catastrophic hemorrhage on October 11, 2025. He was a single father with full custody of his three children, a devoted son, and a loving brother who leaves behind our 70-year-old mother, who is now carrying the heavy burden of his funeral expenses while grieving the loss of her firstborn child.

Mario was the oldest son, the one who carried so much on his shoulders. A hardworking mechanic and skilled contractor, he spent his life helping others — whether fixing a neighbor’s car or repairing a home for a friend in need. Just weeks before his passing, he had finished renovating the room of our brother with cerebral palsy, always putting his family first.

He was a working-class father who built more than a living — he built a community in North Long Beach that admired his generosity, reliability, and heart.

We are now facing the overwhelming costs of laying Mario to rest. Our family is asking for help to cover funeral and burial expenses, so that we can give him the dignified farewell he deserves and relieve some of the financial strain on our mother as she grieves and continues to care for his three children.

Ayúdanos a Darle el Último Adiós a Mario

Con el corazón destrozado compartimos que mi hermano, Mario Jesus Leal Acosta , falleció inesperadamente debido a una hemorragia catastrófica. Fue un padre soltero con custodia completa de sus tres hijos, un hijo devoto y un hermano amoroso que deja atrás a nuestra madre de 70 años, quien lamentablemente ahora carga con el peso económico de sus gastos funerarios mientras enfrenta el dolor de perder a su primer hijo.

Mario era el hijo mayor, el que siempre llevó las mayores responsabilidades sobre sus hombros. Trabajaba como mecánico y contratista, dedicando su vida a ayudar a los demás — ya fuera arreglando el auto de un vecino o reparando la casa de un amigo. Apenas unas semanas antes de su partida, había terminado de renovar el cuarto de nuestro hermano con parálisis cerebral, siempre poniendo a su familia primero.

Fue un padre trabajador y solidario que construyó mucho más que un sustento: construyó una comunidad en North Long Beach que lo quería, respetaba y admiraba por su generosidad y gran corazón.

Ahora nuestra familia enfrenta los altos costos de darle un descanso digno. Pedimos con humildad su ayuda para cubrir los gastos funerarios y de entierro, con el fin de darle a Mario el adiós que merece y aliviar parte de la carga financiera que recae sobre nuestra madre, quien además continúa cuidando de sus tres nietos.
