I have Type 1 diabetes and require insulin for my every day survival. (Type 1 is the type that can not be controlled by diet or pills). I currently wear an insulin pump that functions as a electronic pancreas and pumps insulin continually. For the past several months, my pump has been malfunctioning. The malfunction recently resulted in a 4 day hospital stay because I became so ill.  

I am now wearing a Medtronic loaner pump that I will need to return in 6 weeks. I am in need of a new insulin pump and I do not have health insurance to cover the cost (health insurance with a pre-existing condition has not been affordable). As I do not have the funds to get purchase a new pump.

I know times are difficult for many people but I am humbly asking for your assistance, in any amount, in order to get this necessary and life saving medical equipment.
