Update #2 Michelle has completed round 3 of her chemotherapy and is scheduled for her 4th infusion on January 14th. Michelle is finding out that the first 11 days with the side effects are the most challenging before slowing turning around to where eating and drinking is more tolerable. She wants to thank family and friends with the help and support you all have provided with cooking meals, letters and cards of encouragement, basket of gifts (gift cards, socks, blankets, puzzles, etc.), you have picked up her spirts with all your generous support, it is greatly appreciated. Michelle and I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and as her therapy continues, she is "staying positive, staying strong".
Hi All, A quick update . Michelle has completed her first round of Chemotherapy. It was a rough first week, side effects of dehydration and nausea, but with receiving additional fluids and medications she is feeling better. The process of learning what type of fluids and food is best for her is a challenge to say the least. She will be receiving the next two rounds of infusions on December 3rd and 22nd. Michelle is powering through each day with a positive attitude and wants to thank everyone that has helped with their donations and support. Please continue to keep Michelle in your thoughts and prayers as she fights this battle.
Hi my name is Tom and my fiancé, Michelle, received life changing diagnosis of Breast Cancer (HER2 Positive). Michelle is a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, teacher, and friend to many. If you know Michelle, you will know she has a heart of gold, always puts others before herself and has the amazing ability of making others feel loved. Michelle`s passion for teaching is demonstrated by the dedication she gives her students in class and by leading the Lego Robotics, encouraging Science and Math. Her positive attitude about life, teaching and learning is infectious.
Since receiving the devastating news five weeks ago, we have already started navigating many doctors appointments and treatment plans. In addition to deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket expenses, we are learning what is and what is not covered by the insurance company. We know there is a long road ahead.
Michelle is a strong-minded person and has already set her mind to fighting this disease and ultimately winning the battle against Breast Cancer. Please help me show Michelle how much she means to us and how she is not alone in this fight.
Lets us show our love and support for Michelle as she begins her fight of her life!
Thank you,
Tom
