In memory of loving parents

On January 11, 2016 our family suffered a tragic loss. Cherese lost both of her parents within an hour of each other.
Rochelle (Shelly) Cooper Morton lost her years long battle with cancer. As with all things in her life, Shelly faced cancer head on and fought courageously for as long as she could. She spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones and, primarily, her only child, Cherese.
Cherese suffered a second, unimaginable loss that day when her father, Luther Morton, had a massive heart attack en route to comfort Cherese and say his last goodbyes to Shelly. He, sadly, did not survive. Luther was everything to everyone and was always available when needed.
Shelly and Luther were remarkable people, friends and, above all, parents. During this time Cherese has exhibited enormous amounts of courage and grace. As we prepare to celebrate Luther and Shelly's lives, their friends are asking that, in lieu of flowers, you please consider making a contribution. Funds will be given to the Morton family to help during this trying time.
