It has been over six years., and yes, help is still needed.
July 20, 2012 the Aurora Theater Shooting took place in Aurora Colorado. The trauma and grief continue to this day for many.
Ashley Moser not only was shot and paralyzed as a result of the shooting, her daughter Veronica was killed. Ashley has been fighting drug addiction . She has not fully addressed the trauma nor the grief of the night of July 20th 2012
I met Ashley at a recovery meeting in May, and have since agreed to sponsor her. She has tried desperately to get clean and sober.
Two weeks ago, through generosity of others, she was able to seek help in a rehab program in Denver. Her trauma, grief and addiction are being treated. Although she is showing improvement, Ashley will need longer term, on-going care.
I am hoping you can help support her continued care. This effort to help a woman transition to the next phase of her life; it is not about the tragedy she has suffered . We look forward, toward the possibilities.
