This November Burning Coal Theatre Company will bring three plays to London and we are currently seeking funding to pay for the approximately 30 actors and technicians needed to mount the productions including me. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and Burning Coal will commemorate this momentous occasion with the presentation of David Edgar’s Iron Curtain Trilogy.
Written immediately following the fall of the Berlin Wall, the trilogy features three plays, The "Shape of the Table;" "Pentecost;" and "The Prisoner’s Dilemma;" all concerning the challenges facing Eastern Europe after the end of the Cold War. We will present all three plays in repertory in Raleigh, NC in September 2014 and then take them to London’s Cockpit Theatre for a three-week run in November. We will be the first in the world to present this trilogy.
Would you consider funding me?
**If I hit my target of $1,000, please keep those donations coming. I can use the additional money to pay for housing while there, a tube pass and other expenses while working on the Trilogy in London.**
