With a heavy heart and indescribable grief, I must share the devastating news that Jacob’s life was violently and unjustly taken from us. At only fifteen years old, Jacob became another innocent victim of the senseless violence that continues to destroy families and communities.

He had just recently celebrated his fifteenth birthday. He was the second youngest of four brothers — a quiet, kind-hearted soul who carried the weight of his surroundings with silent strength and hope for something better. Despite growing up in difficult circumstances, Jacob never gave up on dreaming of a brighter future — one where he could give back, make his family proud, and rise above the violence that too often surrounded him.

What happened to Jacob should not have happened to anyone. The pain of losing him in this way — sudden, cruel, and preventable — is something no family should endure. His mother, brothers, and all who loved him are left shattered, trying to make sense of a loss that is beyond comprehension.

I am raising funds on behalf of Jacob’s mother to give him the dignified farewell he deserves and to support the family through this incredibly painful time. Every dollar will go directly to covering funeral expenses, outstanding medical bills, and providing some relief to a grieving family who should never have had to bury their child.
