APRU Cares: Supporting Our Community Together
Donation protected
Beyond promoting Punjabi culture, the Association of Punjabi Students at Rutgers University (APRU) is dedicated to making a meaningful impact through philanthropy and community service. This winter, we are tackling a critical issue on our New Brunswick campus – the challenges faced by many homeless individuals enduring harsh and unhygienic conditions.
To address this, we are organizing an initiative to create and distribute care packages filled with essential supplies. Our goal is to provide warmth, hygiene, and basic necessities, including:
- hats
- gloves
- socks
- toothbrushes
- toothpaste
- combs
- hand warmers
- emergency blankets
and more, all packed in reusable drawstring bags.
Last year, we successfully created over 450 packages, and this year, with your help, we aspire to reach 500 packages. To achieve this, we need to raise $3,000 to cover the costs of these essential items.
Your generosity can help us bring comfort and hope to the homeless in New Brunswick this winter. Please join us in this effort by contributing to our GoFundMe campaign. Together, we can make a real difference in our community. Thank you for your support!
