Cataract Surgical & Medical Missions 2019

We are in need of funds to purchase surgical & medical supplies, medications and for operating expenses for our organization, A Promise to Peru, Inc. Our mission schedule for 2019:
1. Eye Care Mission to Rosebud Indian Reservation, South Dakota working with the nonprofit organization Artist for World Peace June 1-9, 2019
2. Eye Care and Medical Mission to Peru working with the nonprofit organization FNE International June 29- July 7, 2019
3. Cataract Surgical Mission to Ecuador working with the nonprofit organization Partners for Andean Health Community September 21-29, 2019

ABOUT: A Promise to Peru, Inc. is a New York based 501c 3 non-profit organization established cataract surgical and medical missions to areas in need throughout South America and in the U.S.A. The group organizes ophthalmologists and physicians of various specialties along with other healthcare professionals from across the New York metropolitan area and around the United States who donate their time and talents towards this effort. They also mentor medical students from Stony Brook, Robert Wood Johnson, NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and Columbia University, State University of New York optometry students, pharmacology, public health students, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant students and undergraduate students from various universities.
Since the non-profit’s inception in 2012, the surgical and medical team has accomplished:
Our portable eye clinic and operating room has:
· examined over 5,500 patients
· distributed 8,600 pairs of prescription glasses and sunglasses
· performed more than 540 site restoring surgical procedures
Our portable medical clinic has:
· administered health care to approximately 8,950 patients to people
· performed over 350 portable ultrasound examinations
