April’s medical bills and living expenses

Hi, my name is Erin Szarek (Smith). I am asking for help raising funds for our friend April Hourigan-Gonzales. April is a single mother who is fiercely battling breast cancer. She is currently scheduled to have a double mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and many more treatments and an unknown future at this point. At the very least, April has a very long and hard road ahead of her. She is a single mother to two wonderful boys with no child support coming in. April gives back to her community by taking care of Veterans in their home when they need help the most. Now it’s our turn to give back to her and help her and her boys with the mounting medical bill as and day to day living expenses so she can get the treatment she needs to fight this and continue to be there for her boys and everyone else who needs her so much! Anything helps and it all adds up. Even if it’s $10! No one should be put in a position where they can’t afford to get treatment or live, but unfortunately that is the reality for so many! Please, please let’s all help get April and her boys through this! Updates will be given throughout her journey. I have put a starting figure if $20,000, but reality is we have no long how long she will be out of work and how high the medical bills will actually go. So I would love to see us beat this dollar amount by a long shot! Thank you so much in advance!
