On August 16th April’s entire life turned completely upside down within an instant. When putting groceries away April experienced a sharp pain in her back, the next thing she knew she was waking up in an ambulance. April was rushed to the hospital where she underwent multiple tests and exams to discover what was wrong with her. She had lost complete feeling in her entire left side of her body. After multiple tests, the doctor’s were still left puzzled and April’s condition continued to decline as she started to have seizures.  After two weeks at the hospital, the doctors finally diagnosed April with viral encephalitis, a virus that effects 1 in 200,000 people by attacking the brain and spine. 

Over the course of these past few weeks April’s health has gotten better but shes continuing to have complications. She is unable to walk on her own, she is suffering from short term memory loss and continues to have seizures. With the current pandemic our world is facing, she has been unable to see her loved ones, hug her daughter or provide for them in anyway. 

This go fund me has been setup to help April compensate for the wages she has lost and is continuing to lose from her job. It will also assist in helping with the medical bills she is accumulating as well. April is most likely expected to be out of work for the remainder of this year.
